Peer Review Process
The submitted manuscript is first reviewed by the editorial team. The initial screening evaluates whether the manuscript aligns with the focus and scope of Educational Invention and Development Studies (EIDS), meets the basic methodological requirements, and passes the similarity check using Turnitin. Manuscripts that meet the preliminary criteria are forwarded to at least two anonymous reviewers through a Double Blind Review process. Reviewers’ comments and recommendations will then be sent to the corresponding author for revision and response.
The reviewers’ recommendations are discussed in an editorial board meeting before the final decision is made. Based on the evaluation and feedback provided during the peer review process, the Editor decides whether the manuscript will be accepted, revised, or rejected. The review process typically takes approximately 4 to 12 weeks. The decision categories include:
- Reject – Manuscripts that do not meet the publication standards or fall outside the journal’s scope will not be published and cannot be resubmitted to EIDS.
- Resubmit for Review – The manuscript requires substantial revision and may be considered again after major improvements. A second round of review will be conducted.
- Accept with Revisions – Manuscripts approved with minor or major revisions will be accepted for publication in EIDS once the authors complete the required updates. Editors will verify the modifications before final acceptance.
- Accept – Manuscripts accepted without additional revisions will proceed directly to publication.
